Professional Optical Distribution of Street Lighting
TYPE I
The Type I lens of BOSUN® Lighting. The Type I distribution is great for lighting walkways, paths, and sidewalks in the IESNA standard. It is generally applicable to where the mounting height is approximately equal to the roadway width.
Shape:
Narrow, bidirectional horizontal beam distribution system with a 15-degree lateral width.
Application:
Suitable for small roads, with an installation height roughly equal to the road width.
TYPE II
The Type II lens of BOSUN® Lighting. The Type II distribution is used for wide walkways, on ramps and entrance roadways in the IESNA standard, as well as other long, narrow lighting. It is generally applicable where the width of the roadway does not exceed 1.75 times the designed mounting height.
Shape:
Slightly wider, tilted at a 25-degree angle to the horizontal width.
Application:
Suitable for roadside lighting on narrow roads, where the road width does not exceed 1.75 times the mounting height.
TYPE III
The Type III lens of BOSUN® Lighting. The Type III distribution is meant for roadway lighting, general parking areas, and other larger required lighting areas in the IESNA standard. This distribution is intended for illuminates mounted at or near the side of medium-width roadways or areas, where the width of the roadway or area does not exceed 2.75 times the designed mounting height.
Shape:
Medium width, tilted horizontally at a 40-degree angle, with an asymmetrical light pattern.
Application:
Provides a wider illumination range and is suitable for areas with a road width to pole height ratio of less than 2.75, as well as larger outdoor areas.
TYPE VI
The Type II BLS is a new light distribution developed based on Type II BLS means back light shield. The light on the back of pole be reduced and the light in front of the pole be increased accordingly. It is generally applicable to where no need or need less light on the back of pole, such as residential area, high way, bridge.
Shape:
Provides intense, even illumination from 90 to 270 degrees, with a lateral width of 60 degrees.
Application:
Designed for roadside mounting, suitable for areas where the road width does not exceed 3.7 times the mounting height, making it ideal for wide roads.
TYPE V

It is intended for luminaire mounting at or near the center of roadways, center islands of parkways, and intersections in the IESNA Standard, it is also applicable for large, commercial parking lot lighting and other areas where sufficient, uniform distributed light is necessary.

Circular, 360° light distribution with uniform light intensity.
Application:
Provides uniform light distribution in all directions, suitable for areas requiring uniform illumination, such as intersections, large shopping centers, sports venues, and parking lots.
